The Regional Business Manager – Residency Programs (RBM) is a professional sales management position whose primary objective is to increase the awareness and utilization of Bausch and Lomb Surgical products by ophthalmic surgeons in training. This will result in near term achievement of the annual Sales and Revenue plans for assigned Bausch + Lomb Surgical device, equipment and disposable products in academic accounts and longer-term advocacy for our surgical technologies carried with the new ophthalmic surgeons in to their professional careers. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance and productivity of the Residency Program Specialists. This position will work closely with the surgical salesforce regarding portfolio-selling opportunities that leverage our entire product line. The RBM Residency Programs reports to the VP Surgical Sales.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide Residency Program leadership, strategic direction and drive attainment of quarterly/annual sales goals for the academic market.
  • Drive day to day business results to include management of the department T&E budget.
  • Selection, recruitment, coaching, training and development of Residency Program Specialists (RPS)
  • Focus on 1-2 year planning horizon. Goals are designed around meeting yearly targets, but role will also have strategic responsibilities for planning one year into the future to develop plans to establish the Bausch and Lomb Surgical presence in academic programs.
  • Analysis of data to develop and implement academic strategies, respond to market changes, establish goals and tactics.
  • Work with the Marketing organization to develop product marketing plans and successfully implement nationally.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of customer and competition.
  • Work cross-functionally as needed to assist in sales of all B+L products.
  • Successfully complete a formal training and certification program for all responsible products in the areas of product knowledge and selling skills.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in science, business, or a related field.
  • Experience in Ophthalmic and Medical Devices preferred.
  • Previous successful sales management and academic experience is required.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to establish priorities to meet goals.
  • Highly motivated and results driven.
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Colorado
As required by Colorado’s Salary Transparency Law, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in Colorado.  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  For Colorado, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $145,000 - $175,000.

 

New York City
As required by New York City’s salary transparency provisions of the New York City Human Rights Law, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York City.  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  For New York City, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $145,000 - $175,000.

As required by New York State's pay transparency bill, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in New York State.  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  For New York State, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $145,000 - $175,000.

As required by Washington's Salary Transparency Law, Bausch + Lomb provides a good faith minimum and maximum salary range of compensation for roles that can or will be performed, in Washington.  Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location.  For Washington, the range of starting annual base pay for this role is $145,000 - $175,000.
