The Executive Director of Marketing, Surgical will report to the Vice President and GM of Surgical. This role will focus on product sales across the Surgical Profile(IOL’s, Osmolarity, Equipment).  This role will be responsible for leading both the HCP and Consumer engagement activities and individuals should have strong understanding of how to incorporate both HCP and patient insights to create a fully executable marketing plan. 

This position will have high visibility to executive level decision makers and require strong leadership to ensure alignment across multiple cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills and is collaborative, organized, agile and visionary.

 

Responsibilities
•    Develop, lead and bring to life a brand strategy by working with both internal and external stakeholders 
•    Create and Develop Advisory Board Execution to support the Surgical Business
•    Partner with Pharma Team for KOL, Customer and Shared Business Initiatives 
•    Work closely with Tradeshow and Conference Teams to provide Branding and Optimal Customer Engagements
•    Seek and partner with High Performing Ad Agencies that will deliver projects under Budget
•    Lead and develop upstream and downstream marketing activities for both HCP and Consumers
•    Lead cross-functional launch team, including Medical, R&D, Sales, Trade, Finance, Operations, PR, Market Research etc.
•    Build strong relationships and engage with HCPs to gain insights 
•    Work closely with sales/field management to ensure seamless launches
•    Work closely with R&D to develop a pipeline 
•    Plan, execute and measure brand initiatives 
•    Put together and deliver strong marketing presentations for executive leadership and other stakeholders
•    Support the development of annual operating plans, delivery of topline sales and development of revenue and expense forecasts 
•    Adept at managing budgets
•    Ability to build and mentor team to produce results

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field. MBA/Masters preferred
  • Marketing experience required, prefer 10+ years
  • Eye Care marketing a strong plus
  • Surgical Experience
  • Drive strategy across broad marketing mix including but not limited to Digital, social media, Print Initiatives
  • Experience in managing / leading within a complex matrix organization
  • Ability to work in cross-functional team-based culture
  • Ability to deliver presentations to Sr. management
  • Proven skills in the following: HCP and DTC brand marketing, market and competitive analysis, marketing program development, project planning and management, managing financial information required
  • Domestic Travel required, ability to travel overnight ~20%

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between [$185,000.00 and  $240,000.00].  The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance,  a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
