OBJECTIVES:

Responsible for planning, organizing, leading, and monitoring all distribution activities to attain operational goals.  This includes training, motivating, and providing a safe work environment.  Also responsible for adhering to GMPs and other regulatory requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the distribution shift operation to ensure that operational goals are met or exceeded and synchronize activities with other shift supervisors.  Monitor daily operations in order to provide feedback to management on shift performance and to recommend improvements.
  • Support external and internal customers by addressing customer complaints and resolving customer issues.  Responsible for promoting a customer service focused environment for employees. 
  • Provide leadership and support to the implementation of new systems, processes, product launches, marketing promotional programs and cost improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure employees are properly trained and coordinate training activities.  Facilitate team development and encourage employee empowerment.  Performance management responsibilities include performance appraisals and periodic feedback on employee performance.
  • Monitor/approve leave time scheduling.  Ensure accurate recording of employee hours worked/leave time.
  • Support/participate in Quality Audits as required.
  • Ensure that safety standards are adhered to in all areas of the warehouse. 
  • Plan, organize, lead, and monitor all distribution activities to attain operational goals of the site.
  • Working relationships include Site Director, Quality Control, Inventory Control, IT, Maintenance, HR, EHS, and B+L Marketing
  • Supervises Direct-Reports

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years supervisory experience.
  • Experience in an FDA regulated environment a plus.
  • Solid understanding of GMPs and team building skills.
  • Should have basic PC knowledge, WMS experience and be familiar with RF technology and supply chain operations.
  • Must be able to lead and facilitate a well-trained workforce.  Possess skills needed to utilize the concept of continuous improvement and employee teams.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledgeable of Lean concepts such as 5s, Kaizan, Kanban, continuous flow, etc. a plus.

The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
