JOB OBJECTIVES:

  • Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
  • Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, and maintains records of received goods.
  • May use but not limited to power equipment such as a forklift and other devices operated in a warehouse environment.
  • As directed by the supervisor and/or group leader, performs functions to fulfill orders for shipment to customers.
  • This may include but is not limited to customer service support, re-packaging   and re-configuration of shop order builds, receiving, replenishment, cycle counting, picking, packing, and manifesting.
  • Employee may be trained in any or all of the required disciplines depending on business needs.
  • Employee must work all assigned hours and may also be required to perform other duties as directed.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Loading/Unload Trucks -Using powered and non-powered material handling equipment; deliver shipments to appropriate destinations throughout the facility.
  • Replenish and order inventory when shelves are emptied.
  • Retrieve supplies from upper level rack locations for distribution associates when needed.
  • Assist with special requests to search for supplies on shelves throughout the warehouse.
  • Keep inventory up to date by manually counting locations and trailers when assisting in the cabinet team area.
  • Shrink wrap pallets as necessary to prepare for shipping to complete the orders if needed.
  • Complete occasional training in receiving functions and fork truck operations as needed.
  • Keep training up-to date and compliant with all site and quality requirements specific to the job.

 

SCOPE OF POSITION:

  • Responsible for organizing, prioritizing, and timely receipt for all incoming shipment of various vision care products.
  • Maintain accurate inventory vision care products.
  • Maintain fork truck certification and comply with SOP, safety, and quality guidelines.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING:

  • High school Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 6 months as a Distribution Associate,
  • Basic PC knowledge, working knowledge of MS Office, WMS experience and familiarization with RF Technology and supply chain operations.
  • Desire continuous improvement concept and team building skills.
  • Must have a working knowledge of Powered Industrial Truck operations.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
