Supervisor, Distribution Center 2nd Shift

2nd Shfit Supervisor - Woodruff Distribution Center  Monday - Friday  3:30pm - 12:00am

Purpose of Job:

Successfully supervise resources to cost effectively meet or exceed customer ' expectations while maintaining compliance with safety and quality expectations. Scope of daily distribution activities include picking, shipping, receiving, customer returns, etc.

Key Activities:

• Supervision/performance mgt of receiving, picking & shipping personnel and functions.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements & cost reductions
• Maintain/improve inventory & picking accuracy
• Maintain housekeeping and safety throughout operation
• Establish work schedules and effective duties to support objectives

Qualififcations:

Education:  BS/BA Degree ( Business, Logistics or Distribution major preferred

Special Skills: Proficient computer skills, solid analytical skills, demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and good leadership skills.

Specialized Training: Knowledge of inventory control, order processing and warehouse mgmt. systems; customer service and traffic. Proficient computer skills, solid analytical skills, demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills and good leadership skills

Experience: 3 plus years supervisory or leadership experience required ( in a distribution environment preferred )
