Purpose of Job:

The QA Inspection Team Lead is responsible for providing QA guidance and support during production and post-production operations from distribution center/warehouses. The Team Lead will manage and complete quality inspections for finished goods & contract goods associated with products manufactured & distributed by B+L Greenville to verify conformance to cGMP's, local / global SOP's and applicable regulations.  These Quality inspections require the use of statistical sampling plans to conduct visual and functional inspections for supplied components. In addition to inspections, the Team Lead will provide guidance for issue resolution, product containment, and non-conformance generation if necessary.

Key Acitivities:

Utilizes statistical sampling plans to perform visual and functional inspections of supplied components. Documents all results on the QA batch record or on the Receiving Inspection Report.  Assists in quality decisions for nonconforming product and provides QA inspection support evaluate components with process issues.  

Determines the need & initiates nonconformance's in the CQMS System for components & process issues when necessary; Begins formal investigations for nonconformance issues; Writes investigations at the request of the Incoming Inspection Supervisor.

Checks sample request/inventory transfer records for possible errors and clarifies records with quality engineers and product release coordinators. Manages prioritization of tasks to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma required.

Training: Pallet Jack and Fork lift.

Experience:

2-3 years prior manufacturing or inspection experience required

Prior exposure to visual and dimensional inspection required

Previous inspection experience using balances and dimensional tools preferred.

Specialized Skills:

Computer skills using MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Access,

Warehouse Management System (ERPLX) and Document Management System (Documentum).  Excellent written and verbal communication skills demonstrated.  Good people skills. Must be able to communicate with a cross functional team and management concerning quality issues.  Decision-making ability and ability to work unsupervised expected.

Performs inspections for lots received from contract packagers, which may occur at the GSF, GDC, or other approved warehouse locations.

Maintains retain sample inventory for all finished product.
