Purpose of Job:

The Planner / Scheduler plays a vital role in ensuring seamless coordination between production planning, inventory management, and customer service for various product lines or regional areas. This position is responsible for ordering components, scheduling production, communicating with manufacturing teams, and maintaining system integrity through ERP and Blue Yonder systems. Effective execution in this role supports the company’s operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Activities:

Plan, schedule, and provide customer service for assigned product lines, coordinating necessary components to support production plans.

Order components and communicate status and requirements to relevant teams.

Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth execution of production schedules on the shop floor.

Set up new items and product structures within the ERP lx system, including yield, routing information, and bill of materials (BOM).

Coordinate annual budget information related to system set-up, including waste factors, yields, and BOMs.

Act as a system analyst for Blue Yonder, maintaining audit reports related to new item setup and distribution requirements planning (DRP) parameters.

Generate ad-hoc reports using Blue Yonder, ERP (lx), or PowerBI based on departmental needs.

Continuously improve system processes and data integrity to enhance production planning accuracy.

Qualifications:

College degree, preferably in Manufacturing Operations, Logistics, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience within a manufacturing setting.

Proficient in manufacturing resource planning (MRP) systems and ERP platforms (experience with ERP lx preferred).

Strong computer literacy, especially in Microsoft Excel and PowerBI reporting is a plus.

Detail-oriented with a solid understanding of ERP/MRP systems, product set-ups, item relationships, and data integrity.

Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with manufacturing, procurement, and planning teams.

APICS certification or completion of APICS modules is highly desirable.
