Objectives
Programming and troubleshooting of control systems that include PLCs, servo drives, AC drives, interface modules, DC Drives, and HMIs. Also included are mechanical skills that will allow for assistance in mechanical repairs and preventative and predictive maintenance tasks. Serves as the shift lead and technical lead on the assigned shift. The successful individual must have the ability to support all production areas and have the ability to multi-task and work within a collaborative maintenance and engineering team.
Key Activities/Responsibilities
Program and trouble shoot Controls Systems including supporting Project Engineering in new equipment installations. Perform electrical & mechanical PMs.
Scope of Position
Primary responsibilities will be the day-to-day programming and troubleshooting of control systems that include PLCs, Servo Drives, AC Drives, Interface Modules, DC Drives, and HMIs. Also included are mechanical skills that will allow for the assistance in mechanical repairs and preventive and predictive maintenance tasks. Ability to read, redline, and create electrical drawings.
Demonstrates ability to lead projects and/or work groups. Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools. Must be able to multi-task. Previous Lean Mfg. experience preferred. Must be able to coordinate projects and communicate results. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment. Must be a self-starter – work with minimal supervision. Identifies and implements continuous improvement projects following the change management procedures. Serves as a point person for any electronics related issues on the assigned shift and as an escalation point to junior technicians for technical challenges. Supports projects for the electronics group.
Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with a High School diploma or GED.
Experience: Minimum of 8 years’ experience working with control systems and electrical troubleshooting.
Preferred Skills: Mechanical background.CMMS (MP2 preferred), PLCs (GE & Allen Bradley), Servo Controls, Drives, HMIs.
