Engineering Technician IV - Day Shift  Monday - Friday 7:30am-4:00pm 

 

Primary responsibilities will be to facilitate implementation of new production equipment, by providing design input, training, review and documentation of preventative maintenance procedures, install and qualification support. Initiate design and training improvements of existing equipment, including one right way documents to reduce Mean Time to Repair (MTTR). Input into failure analysis to determine the root cause and develop methods to increase Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF). Support corrective and preventative actions to production equipment. 

 

Demonstrates ability to lead projects and/or work groups.  Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions and use problem-solving tools. Must be able to multi-task. Previous Lean Mfg. experience preferred. Must be able to coordinate projects and communicate results. Candidate must possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to work within a team-oriented environment. 

 

Key responsibilities will be to document machine changeovers throughout the plant. Write work instructions and SOPs that house the steps, pictures, and set points/parameters necessary for each size change. Quantify adjustments that are currently not repeatable. Provide the necessary design, wiring, fabrication, installation, and documentation. Create video guidance as a supplement to changeover work instructions. Support digital WI development. Provide root cause analysis support to common downtimes and nonconformances. Assess current spare parts. Eliminate old inventory, identify critical inventory that is missing Identify appropriate resources, internal, 3rd party, or OEM to implement corrective projects to remediate common downtimes and nonconformances. 

 

Education: Associate’s degree in maintenance related field or 10 years maintenance experience with High School Diploma/GED required. 

 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience.

 

 

Preferred Skills: Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) experience (MP2 preferred). MS Office Applications.
