Objectives | Purpose:
Conducts chemical and physical tests on chemical raw materials, in-process and finished products using qualitative and quantitative techniques. Maintains and orders laboratory supplies. Oversees testing performed by outside laboratories. Perform standardizations and calibrations. Compliance with all applicable procedures and practices to include SOP’s, Division specs, safety, ISO and GMP regulations.
Key Activities/Responsibilities:
Conducts physical and chemical tests on raw material samples. Conducts physical and chemical tests on in-process and final product samples. Maintaining and ordering of laboratory supplies. Ordering, sampling, shipping of samples for testing by outside laboratories. Cleaning of Laboratory glassware. Calibration, of meters, balances, pipettes, etc. Preparation/standardization of reagents. Continuous improvement project work.
Qualifications | Training:
Education: BS in Chemistry or related discipline.
Experience: At least two years of previous experience in manufacturing operations and analytical laboratory practices highly preferred. Knowledge/understanding of basic cGMP and good documentation/laboratories practices in a regulated facility.
Preferred Skills: Previous experience in laboratory practices highly preferred. College math and basic statistics courses. Computer skills are required (Excel, Word, and other customized systems). Good technical and communication skills. Technical and scientific writing skills. Demonstrate ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities simultaneously.
Shift: Weekend | Saturday Sunday (7:00a – 7:00p) and Monday, Tuesday 8:00am – 4:30pm
