We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented mid-level Scientist to join our materials characterization and chromatography Analytical Chemistry team. In this role, you will support product development and quality assurance by performing analytical testing, method development, and method validation using a variety of chromatography techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-career professional to grow their expertise in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. An ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of chromatography theory and a demonstrated ability to develop new chromatography methods with experience using a variety of HPLC/UHPLC capabilities (e.g. reverse-phase, normal phase, ion-exchange, size exclusion).
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analyses using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC/UHPLC), and Size Exclusion Chromatography (SEC).
- Develop and validate analytical methods to support R&D, product development, quality control, and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize sample preparation techniques and apply basic polymer chemistry knowledge in experimental work.
- Generate, review, and interpret analytical data to support internal projects and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate within a small team to troubleshoot and improve analytical methods and workflows.
- Manage multiple assignments efficiently while maintaining accuracy and quality.
- Adhere to laboratory safety standards and quality protocols.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Ph.D. (preferably in chromatography discipline) with 3+ years experience; Masters degree with 5+ years of expertise in chromatography, or Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of expertise in chromatography.
- Demonstrated hands-on laboratory experience.
- Solid understanding of analytical chemistry techniques, organic chemistry principles, and polymer science fundamentals.
- Proficiency in conducting and troubleshooting sample preparation, analytical testing, method development, and method validation.
- Experience with routine instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Strong technical writing abilities and clear communication skills.
- Excellent critical thinking and analytical problem‑solving capabilities.
- Highly reliable, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated.
- Ability to work both independently and effectively within a small, collaborative team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Preferences
- Hands-on expertise in liquid chromatography techniques - HPLC and SEC. (HPLC yes can learn SEC)
- Experience with method development and validation in an analytical laboratory setting.
- Background in a variety of sample preparation techniques (e.g. extraction techniques, solid phase extraction).
- Experience with Size Exclusion Chromatography (GPC).
- Knowledge of data processing software tools and statistical evaluation for validation.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $85,000.00 and $120,000.00. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives. They may also be eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision insurance, disability and life insurance, a 401(k) plan and company match, a tuition reimbursement program (select degrees), company holidays, and well-being benefits, among others.
