Objective:
Perform tasks for the purpose of preventative maintenance of all plant equipment, machinery, metrology, and instrumentation.
Responsiblities
Under the direction of the Preventative Maintenance Group Leader, the preventative maintenance technician will be responsible for the following:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on all plant equipment based on standard operating procedures and the manufacturer’s recommendations. This includes routine mechanical, electrical, lubrication, inspection, and part replacement activities.
- Identify equipment maintenance needs.
- Document maintenance activities in machine logbooks, on paperwork orders and/or in computer maintenance management systems. Ensure accuracy of records.
- Achieve an annual completion and on-time standard of PMs in conjunction with factory KPIs that minimizes Non-Conformance occurrences.
- Identify improvement opportunities for equipment preventative maintenance program.
- Update preventative maintenance standard operating procedures.
Qualifications:
- HS diploma or equivalent preferred. Technical apprenticeship or Associates degree in related electrical or mechanical field preferred but job experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
Specialized Skills:
- Knowledge of OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) regulations, such as LOTO & PPE requirements.
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook) preferred.
- Experience with Lean Daily Management and Continuous Process Improvement tools such as Standard Work, 6S, as well as Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to a Maintenance function.
Experience:
- 1 - 2 years in technical role performing equipment repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Medical device or other regulated industry documentation experience beneficial.
- Attention to detail, excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment are essential.
Special Skills:
- Understanding cGMP and experience in clean room environment preferred.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical prints preferred.
- Demonstrated problem solving and strong troubleshooting skills.
- Familiar with the operation of robots (SCARA, FANUC, Staubli, IAI) and servo motors desirable.
- Injection mold machine experience (electric and hydraulic) desirable

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $19.00 - $24.00 per hour. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
