We offer two work schedule options:
- Rotating Nights/Days Shift Schedule - Rotation is M/T - 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, W/Th - off, F/S/Sun - 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM, M/T - off, W/Th - 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM, F/S/Sun - off, two-week pattern repeats but opposite day/nights.
- Night Shift Schedule - 6:00 pm - 6:00 am on a 2-2-3 schedule.
Objective:
The Controls Engineering Tech IV provides Controls/Systems support for production machines and equipment. Keeps production moving with minimal downtime by troubleshooting and repairing equipment controls issues. This includes resolving mechanical, process and electrical problems. This position entails working as a member of a team to perform and document troubleshooting and repairs of high-speed manufacturing, injection molding, packaging, and sterilizing equipment with a dedicated focus in PLC and HMI issues. Other aspects may include project work, offline work as well as training other technicians. The job will require working with a diverse group represented by Management, Engineering, Maintenance, Operation, Quality and Calibration personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside maintenance, Operations technicians and Engineers in a cross-functional team setting to minimize machine downtime and improve line output.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and properly document machine issues.
- Troubleshoot / diagnose PLC/HMI control systems software and hardware issues.
- Troubleshoot / diagnose Vision system and PC software and hardware issues.
- Perform and document preventative maintenance as required.
- Communicate machine issues/downtime to other shifts as well as supervisor/management.
- Assist with any offline machine software changes or other support items as needed.
Qualifications:

HS Diploma required; Associate’s degree or Technical Apprenticeship in a related electrical/mechanical field highly preferred (equivalent experience may be substituted).

Minimum 2 years’ experience in machine control systems, process automation, and shop floor controls.

Proficiency in Allen Bradley (RS Studio/View/Logix) for PLC programming and troubleshooting is required.

Expertise in robotics (FANUC, SCARA, Staubli, IAI), servo motors, motion control, and machine vision systems.

Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and electrical prints.

Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards, including OSHA, cGMP, and clean room environments; medical device documentation experience is a plus.

Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills applied to automated equipment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and a working knowledge of network settings and peripheral device connections.

Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $24.00 - $38.00 per hour. The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.
