The Senior Director, Tax Provisioning will join Bausch + Lomb’s tax team with responsibility for overseeing all aspects of the global tax provision process reporting to the vice president of Tax.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for managing and reviewing the tax accounting process for all domestic and international operations, while establishing and maintaining strong internal controls
  • Act as primary liaison with corporate accounting and finance on tax accounting matters
  • Interact extensively with multiple personnel and departments to coordinate information needed to fulfill all tax accounting requirements 
  • Oversee and adhere to department policies to manage, update and ensure the tax accounting quarterly and annual procedures are in compliance with required SOX control objectives.
  • Lead interface with corporate accounting with respect to the tax provision.
  • Interface with business segments on federal, state & local and international income tax related issues when needed.
  • Lead the support of the tax planning team on transactions as well as tax contingencies and audit settlements.
  • Maintain communication with outside auditing firm on tax accounting issues and interim/year-end close process as needed.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the tax software/process in support of the consolidated financial statements.
  • Review tax footnotes including consolidated schedules that go into the footnote



  • 15 years+ corporate tax experience including significant US income tax accounting and compliance; transactional experience is a plus
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills with the ability to successfully communicate with individuals at various levels in the organization
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance required; CPA required; advanced degree a plus
  • Hyperion or similar software experience preferred; PC proficient with experience in Microsoft (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, etc.)
