As part of the Indirect Procurement team at Bausch and Lomb, the Manager, Sourcing Support Services will be a key role to lead the sourcing support team. This position reports to the Senior Director of Indirect Procurement and is responsible for overseeing a team of professionals and managing various aspects of sourcing, supplier diversity, analytics, and procurement to ensure optimal cost efficiency, supplier relationships, and operational effectiveness along with promoting collaboration across categories and business. .

 

Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to a team consisting of Travel Agent, Supplier Diversity Manager, Analytics Manager, Analytics Analyst, and Buyer(s). Foster a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability.
  • Sourcing Support: Collaborate with the Indirect Procurement, Finance, and business teams to provide critical support for sourcing activities, including sourcing strategy development, supplier relationship management, and negotiations.
  • Supplier Diversity: Lead the Supplier Diversity Manager in promoting diversity and inclusion within the supplier base. Develop and execute supplier diversity initiatives and programs to drive supplier engagement.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Oversee the Analytics Manager and Analytics Analyst in gathering, analyzing, and reporting data related to procurement activities. Use data-driven insights to optimize procurement strategies and decision-making.
  • Procurement Operations: Manage the Buyer role to ensure efficient and effective procurement operations. Drive cost savings and process improvements in procurement activities.
  • Contract Management: Collaborate with Legal and Contract Management teams to ensure contracts are executed and managed effectively. Maintain a contract repository and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Budget Management: Assist in the development and management of the departmental budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
  • Vendor Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure alignment with company objectives and quality standards.
  • Project Management:   Oversight of workplans/milestones to ensure successful execution of procurement transformation initiatives; including change management activites  

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field required. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic sourcing, indirect procurement, and/or supply chain management in pharmaceutical, medical device, or healthcare industries.
  • Strong leadership and management experience with previous success leading a high performing team.
  • Demonstrated experience negotiating complex service agreements and sourcing for multiple indirect categories.
  • Proven experience in RFI/RFP/RFQ development, evaluation, negotiations, execution, and contract management.
  • Excellent negotiation, contract management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Applied experience in the understanding of legal issues, contractual principles, and negotiation techniques used in the development of complex contractual agreements.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management abilities as a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Knowledge of procurement software and systems; must be familiar with supply base performance metrics and key performance indicators.
  • Systems and tools examples:
    • eSourcing tools and spend analytics (Ariba Buyer, Coupa, Zycus, etc.)
    • Contract Lifecycle Management (iCertis, Evisort, Ariba Contracts, etc.)
    • Travel and Expense (Concur, GDS, T&E Card systems, etc.)

 

This role is eligible for our hybrid work schedule allowing for up to 2 days/week of a remote work location and 3 days/week in our Bridgewater, NJ corporate office.
