The Manager, Master Data Governance role will report to the Director, Master Data and will focus on developing Data Governance strategy and maturing Data Governance capabilities at Bausch + Lomb.  This position works daily with cross-functional data owners and stewards to maintain high quality master data across Material, Supplier, and Customer.  This position is also responsible for data design in support of projects by collaborating with partners from the business, technology, and data teams.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the corporate strategic vision for Master Data Governance with a focus on how to utilize data to achieve exceptional growth through data standardization and information management.
  • Implement MDM in accordance with business rules and policies and enforce adherence to a strong data governance model.
  • Communicate with stakeholders across the organization on a regular basis, providing visibility and insight MDM policy changes, data issues, improved contingencies and corrective action plans as required.
  • Design and execute data governance training programs for employees to improve data literacy and ensure compliance with data governance policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business, data, and analytic teams to identify and define the key data elements required to power strategic capabilities and ensure data sources are high quality.
  • Serve as business product owner for the development and scaling of data quality measurement and tracking capabilities across SAP data.
  • Monitor and report on data quality and governance metrics and KPIs to senior management.   Ensure data quality improvements are delivered against standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Supply Chain or equivalent
  • 5+ years combined working experience data governance, systems delivery, and supply chain management
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices
  • Hands on experience with data quality tools and technologies
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct line of authority
  • In-depth knowledge of large complex data and application integration concepts and initiatives (e.g. SAP S/4 HANA implementation)
  • Demonstrated knowledge in complex data analysis (SQL, Power BI)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge and understanding of SAP MDG
  • Matrix management skills and business acumen

Up to 20% global travel required
