The Manager, Inventory & Intercompany Accounting role is an integral part of the US Finance function supporting inventory and intercompany management of the US commercial operations.  The role is responsible for a variety of accounting functions including monthly close activities, ownership of the US commercial inventory balance sheet, maintenance and reconciliation of intercompany relationships, maintaining compliance with internal controls and supervising direct reports.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Oversight of accounting and reporting related to inventory balances, transfer price adjustments, finished goods, inventory reserves, external manufacturing, standard cost revaluation, intercompany markup, and intercompany accruals
  • Reconciling intercompany balance sheet and intercompany markup
  • Collaborate and communicate with business partners, including supply chain, intercompany partners, and external manufacturing organizations, while maintaining cooperative relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Balance sheet account reconciliations and roll forwards, including variance analysis and explanations
  • Support, motivate, provide feedback, and mentor direct reports
  • Support internal and external SOX 404 audit requests and compliance requirements

 

Other Responsibilities

  • Lead departmental, functional, and corporate initiatives
  • Prepare and analyze management reports
  • Drive the application of GAAP to new transactions

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • 6 or more years of experience with similar responsibilities in a $500M+ business, including experience with accounting for inventory, markup, and/or external manufacturing
  • Advanced MS Excel / MS Office
  • Strong analytical skills with strong proficiency of GAAP
  • Experience with HFM/PeopleSoft/SAP
  • Preferred: CPA, MBA and/or public accounting experience
