Position summary:

The Inventory Analyst is an important position within the North American Logistics organization in the company.  The position will have responsibility to gather and examine inventory data with use of Bausch & Lomb  systems, compiling reports and metrics for B+L distribution and transportation functions.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with organizations policies, procedures, regulatory guidance, and laws.

Reviews data generated for distribution or freight activity in US.

Create distribution and freight summaries for sites, carriers, and freight forwarders by various relevant components in periodic metrics.

Generates, analyses, and updates reports needed for internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance, business reviews and customer requests.

Performs statistical analysis to determine best practices for transportation lanes.

Compiles data from PeopleSoft, Blue Yonder (JDA), SAP and other systems to make one master dataset for periodic reporting.

Responsible to troubleshoot and resolve all variances reported at the 3PL distribution centers.  Supports other sites to investigate inventory management concerns or errors.

Reviews shipping labels for GS1 and B+L distribution compliance.

Supports the Sr. Manager, Logistics and Sr. Director, North America Logistics with various distribution or transportation projects.

 

Qualifications and experience:

Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain Management or Logistics preferred)

 

Minimum of 3 years business experience in Supply Chain or proven experience as an intern or part-time position with a relevant degree.

Comparable supply chain or inventory management experience and familiarization with health care industry

Data management experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as PeopleSoft or SAP is required.  Data entry and inventory control functions with use of warehouse management systems such as Blue Yonder (JDA) is preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft SQL

Excellent, professional communications skills to build and maintain positive partner relationships with internal Sales, QA, IT, Supply Chain, and management teams.
