The Credit Administrator is responsible for monitoring daily activity and collecting funds for sales of assigned portfolio, generating positive cash flow and maintaining lowest possible >60 levels.  Responsibilities include: minimizing the company’s exposure to loss on high-risk accounts, monitoring account balances for non-payment, and making recommendations for cancellation of open terms of sale as appropriate.              

 

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

 

Collections

  • Monitor daily order activity of all accounts within the assigned portfolio.
  • Monitor credit limits and orders on hold for assigned portfolio of account
  • Make daily collection calls.
  • Act as liaison between internal and external customers to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may delay payment
  • Reconcile customer account as needed; match offsets, identify account payments, follow up on credits for outstanding deductions.
  • Perform reconciliation of accounts
  • Recommend escalation of collection activity and referral to an outside source.
  • Pull Credit Reports, ie; Experian, D&B to support credit limit increases
  • Prepare credit limit increases per SOP
  • Maintain Sox compliance

 

Administrative 

  • Field incoming customer phone inquiries and update customer notes in Carixa system     
  • Perform approved offsets on customer accounts
  • Process customer credit card payments

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience with a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment; Experince in credit & collections preferred.
  • Excellent computer skills especially in Excel. 
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sound judgment with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Organized and works well under pressure
