WORK SCHEDULE:  Monday – Thursday; 6:00 am – 4:30 pm; overtime as needed Friday & Saturday


This position provides technician support to a manufacturing operation. This may include working to resolve manufacturing issues, design and fabrication of tooling and test equipment for production and providing technical guidance to manufacturing personnel.


The Technician III is responsible for providing operations support through the following key activities and responsibilities:

  • Maintain production equipment including electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair, as well as periodic aid in preventative maintenance activities
  • Aid in the correction and resolution of manufacturing issues to minimize production downtime
  • Collaborate with Mfg & R + D Engineers to design and build tooling and equipment for production, including in-house fabrication and assembly
  • Aid in and/or lead activities for installation, modification, set up and qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) of new or relocated production equipment
  • Clearly communicate production and project status updates to supervisors, up to executive management level
  • Responsible for the assembly and maintenance of equipment used to create finished goods SKUs in multiple Value Streams across operations
  • All work performed must be completed with the highest Quality standards possible and within the allowed time given to maintain the highest efficiencies possible with minimum requirements established for each operation
  • Ability to work autonomously under general supervision in all areas of the plant, adhering to all governing SOP and regulations
  • Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed, including Fridays and Saturdays


Required Education: 

  • HS Diploma or equivalent/GED
  • Associate degree or equivalent past work experience. 
  • Specialized training/certification may be considered for equivalency.


Preferred Education:

  • Associate degree in electrical or mechanical discipline


Required Skills/Qualifications:

  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Familiarity in the setup and use of general measurements and test equipment (e.g., Calipers, DMM, Pressure gage)
  • Demonstrated history of dependable and reliable work with strong attendance record
  • Ability to follow written instructions (SOPs) and aid in drafting required changes
  • Familiarity in the interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications, including the ability to document required changes/updates
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for working with small parts


Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  • Ability to operate lathe and milling machine is strongly preferred
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical circuits to a component level and perform electrical assembly (e.g., soldering) is beneficial


Required Experience:

  • Minimum 3 - 5 years of related experience including providing support of manufacturing operation and equipment.
  • Experience in general problem solving and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical manufacturing equipment
  • Experience with hand and/or machine assembly of small parts


Preferred Experience: 

  • Experience in an FDA/GMP regulated environment including “Clean Rooms” and associated restrictions/requirements
  • Knowledge of 5S and other LEAN principles and practices (e.g., Kaizen events, Poka-Yoke process design)
