Objectives:

  • Production Technician II position completes testing, burn-in, and accurately and effectively completes the GMP documentation for assembled modules, systems, and applicable sub-assemblies.
  • Production Technician II tests, troubleshoots, and repairs applicable modules or systems that do not meet the product and performance specifications per Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Performs tasks within full-scale production manufacturing operations, including routine assembly; or quality assurance and reliability testing following established methods and procedures.
  • Completes testing of systems or modules that supports R&D and MFG Engineering project requirements.
  • Technicians will be cross-trained and expected to perform any/all essential tasks within the production/manufacturing operations, including system, module, and sub-assembly builds.
  • Adheres to the Safety requirements and applicable Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provides applicable and necessary support for all Quality Compliance Audits and Inspections.
  • Provide support and execute activities related to Enterprise Excellence, Management for Daily Improvement, and 5S activities as required.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Module testing, diagnose issues to the component level, and meet all testing and performance specifications and quality requirements.
  • Able to effectively use measuring and test equipment and interpret results.
  • Completion of all related quality records and documentation per GMP requirements.
  • Able to effectively complete the calibration and testing / repair of systems or modules so that they meet the design specifications and all quality performance requirements.
  • Able to troubleshoot product performance and/or quality problems/issues to the component level for all systems/modules and have the ability to repair modules.
  • Maintain highest levels of product quality and effectively report and document quality issues as required by GMP regulations and documented procedures.
  • Maintains accurate and complete production records.
  • Responsible for accurately documenting the system, module, or assembly Device History Record for any task performed per GMP regulations.
  • Responsible to properly and effectively perform, complete, and document all assigned and required training in a timely manner.
  • Learn and perform additional and various tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Responsible for the effective implementation and completion of 5S activities in assigned areas throughout each workday/end of shift.
  • Encouraged to lead and/or participate in additional 5S and Lean Manufacturing initiatives for all workstations.
  • Responsible for personal safety and safety of co-workers through annual safety trainings, incident prevention/risk mitigation activities, participation in stretch break activities, and reporting any safety issues that may arise.
  • Establish and maintain Trainer qualification status.
  • Complete cross-training to successfully perform essential tasks within the production/manufacturing operations that includes system, module, and sub-assembly builds.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associate or equivalent Technical degree OR High School Diploma/GED with equivalent military training, skills, and technical experience OR High School Diploma/GED with equivalent technical experience and skills may be considered.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience with a college associate or equivalent technical degree. 
  • If no degree, must attain the minimum level of Technician I or equivalent with a minimum of 15 months of experience at the Technician I level or similar related experience that is related to the testing and assembling and/or repair of modules, sub-assemblies, and systems or similar items
  • Minimum of two years of experience of non-medical device manufacturing technician / repair technician experience or equivalent.
  • Military training/occupational specialty in maintenance/repair or similar specialty with a minimum overall service time of 3 years with an honorable discharge or currently serving in the Guard/Reserves.
  • Highly dependable and reliable attendance record.
  • Excellent teamwork and collaborative skills.
  •  Excellent leadership skills are preferred.
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for small parts assembly.
  • Ability to read and effectively communicate/document through written and/or electronic documentation; ability to complete accurate mathematical calculations and problem solving; ability to follow written and verbal instructions; ability to use fixed gauges, direct reading inspection, measuring and test equipment/instruments and similar devices where accurate interpretation is required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use simple equipment and measurement devices.
  • Able to complete all quality documentation requirements properly and effectively per GMP regulations and Quality
  • Compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow instructions and achieve intended results; use of testing and analysis equipment for troubleshooting problems, performing root cause analysis, and performing associated duties of testing, assembly, and analysis with little to no supervision.
