CNC Manual Metal Machining Technician

First Shift: Monday - Friday 6:00am-2:30 pm 

$2000 SIGN-ON BONUS 

Objectives:

Manufacture parts and components for handheld surgical instruments by programming, setting up and operating manual and CNC metal machining.

Responsibilites: 

• Program, set-up and operating manual and CNC metal machining.

Requirements: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Machine Shop Certificate or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 4 years' experience at Journeyman level 
• Set-up and operate manual and less sophisticated CNC metal machining equipment
• Vertical Mills
• Horizontal Mills 
• Laser Cutter
• Able to build new tooling and repair of old tooling
• Use of measurement instruments including micrometers, calipers, gage pins and optical comparators
• Ability to visualize shapes
• Ability to follow verbal and written manufacturing procedures
• Manual machining of metal
• Experience and demonstrated ability programming, setting up, and operating manual and CNC metal machining
• Excellent manual dexterity, able to read blue-prints, and sharp tooling if needed

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience to build tooling when needed
• Laser Welder
• EDM
• Citizen Swiss Lathes
• Tsugami Lathes
• Basic CNC Lathes
