Day Shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
Objectives:
Perform specific duties per Standard Operating Procedures, Inspection Forms, Drawings using both hands or by using gauges/machinery when assigned to assure that products produced are of high quality and meet the required specifications while demonstrating full commitment to patient safety.
Responsibilities:
- Must complete all baseline training.
- Able to use and understand comparator functions.
- Precision detail in identifying defects and inconsistencies.
- Complete and maintain accurate inspection documentation and perform inventory transaction in inventory management system.
- Meet time standards for inspection cycle times.
- Good understanding of inspection and test techniques.
- Able to accurately complete all documents.
- Able to make accurate transactions in ERPLx.
- Heavy emphasis on Reusable and Disposable instrument inspection.
- Perform inspections of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacture of medical devices, partially assembled or finished medical devices.
- Assist in the establishment and update of quality system documentation relevant to the Quality department as needed.
- Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies.
- Ensure the products and processes meet established quality standards and specifications.
- Work with little or no direction after being assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow all safety requirements.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing or quality control role.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of FDA Regulations and GMP, ISO 9001/ISO 13485 requirements, and Quality System standards and processes.
- Must be able to use a microscope.
- The ability to read and write, add and subtract whole numbers and decimals; follow instructions; use of gauges, instruments, microscope and similar measuring devices.
- Dependable and reliable with strong attendance record.
- Able to keep a clean and organized work environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for small parts assembly.
- Must be able to perform impartial disposition. Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of ethics, morals, and sense of service to the patient.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, and visual work instructions.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.
- Able to sit and stand for long periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Quality Inspection experience. Manufacturing background desirable.
- Working in an FDA/GMP regulated environment to include “Clean Rooms” and all restrictions that are associated with a clean room environment.
- Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures.
- Experience in Microsoft programs, inventory management systems, document control systems, lab data systems and visual inspection software.
