Bausch + Lomb is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to support and enhance our Infor LX (ERPLx/BPCS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform across global manufacturing operations. This role plays a critical part in enabling reliable, compliant, and high‑performing manufacturing systems supporting Surgical, Pharmaceutical, Lens, and Lens Care businesses in a regulated, 24x7 environment.
You will partner closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Finance teams to design, build, integrate, and support solutions that keep our operations running efficiently and compliantly.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solution Design
- Partner with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and finance stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into effective Infor LX solutions.
- Analyze and improve processes related to inventory and materials management, shop floor control, manufacturing execution, quality release, and master data management.
- Produce clear functional and technical documentation aligned with SDLC and regulated environment expectations.
Application Development
- Design, develop, and maintain custom enhancements within the Infor LX 8.4.2 environment.
- Develop using SQLRPGLE, RPGLE, ILE RPG, and CL programming.
- Support both batch and online processing while ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Use formal change and release management tools and processes.
System Integration
- Design, build, and support integrations between Infor LX and enterprise systems such as MES, LIMS, WMS, finance, and reporting platforms.
- Develop and consume APIs supporting real‑time and near‑real‑time data exchange.
- Work with JSON and XML payloads and support file‑based, message‑based, and service‑oriented integrations.
- Troubleshoot integration issues and data discrepancies across systems.
Production Support
- Provide 24x7 application support for manufacturing operations, including participation in an on‑call rotation.
- Diagnose and resolve application, data, and integration issues to minimize manufacturing downtime.
- Partner with vendors and internal IT teams to resolve defects and support upgrades, patches, and technical conversions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting applications on IBM i (AS400 / iSeries).
- Strong hands‑on experience with:
- SQLRPGLE / RPGLE / ILE RPG
- CL programming
- Infor LX / ERPLx environments
- Proven experience designing and supporting system integrations, including API development and consumption.
- Experience working with JSON and XML data formats.
- Familiarity with batch scheduling tools (e.g., HelpSystems Robot or equivalent).
- Experience with formal change management tools (e.g., SEE/Change or similar).
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual, global team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to balance enhancement delivery with ongoing production support.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supporting manufacturing systems in a regulated environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing business processes, including inventory management, production control, and quality/release processes.
- Experience in Life Sciences, Medical Devices, or Pharmaceutical manufacturing strongly preferred.
