Job Title: Compounder I

 

Objectives/Purpose of the Job:
 

The job functions and responsibility for compounding sterile finished bulk products.

 

Key Activities/Responsibilities:
 

  • Performs nonsterile and aseptic compounding activities per batch record documentation.
  • Compounds Level 1 batches proficiently (simple sterile solutions).
  • Document information correctly in batch records, CAMS (operator access level), and area logbooks.
  • Reviews and verifies batch record entries. Assists compounding of Level 2 and 3 batches.
  • Prepares major and miscellaneous compounding equipment for use.
  • Cleans equipment and performs rinse water testing.
  • Assists in the sterilization of compounding equipment.
  • Performs filter integrity testing. Prepares filters for sterilization.
  • Performs daily and weekly scale calibration checks. Weighs materials not already preweighed and staged for the batch.
  • Cleans, disinfects and maintains the Nonsterile Compounding area.
  • Meets and maintains all required training during the year (SOP, EHS, and HR).
  • Support operational excellence and EHS initiatives. 
  • Assume responsibility for the GMP, ISO, EHS awareness and compliance within the respective area.  
  • Attend and participate in OpEx improvement initiatives such as reducing costs and OEE improvements.
  • All other duties, as assigned.

 

Internal Qualifications/Certifications:
 

  • Aseptic Gowning.
  • Rinse Water.
  • CAMS.
  • Potent Compound Physical.
  • Respirator.
  • Confined Space.
  • LOTO.
  • Disinfection.
  • CPMS Environmental Monitoring.
  • CPMS.

 

Qualifications/Training:

  • High School diploma required.
  • Mechanical aptitude preferred.
  • Able to work quickly and under pressure. 
  • Good documentation, computer, and math skills. 
  • Must be detail oriented and quality conscious.
  • Good team oriented and excellent communication skills. 
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English.

 

Eligibility for Internal Applicants:                                                                                                          

  • Have no corrective actions at the written warning level in last six months/no final warning level in the last 12 months/no active PIP. 
  • Meet the qualifications of the position as stated above.                                                     
  • Be in your current job for 12 months. 
  • Position applying for must be a step up in progression and not a step down.                                                                                                                               

 

Shift: Friday from 10:00am to 8:30pm. Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 5:00am to 3:30pm .
Start Pay Range: $ 21.50

 

 

This position may be available in the following location: Tampa, FL.
