The Senior Programming Analyst plays a key role in supporting and enhancing manufacturing IT systems—both in-house developed and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS), including Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES). This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems that drive efficiency and compliance in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Operations, and Engineering teams to gather and define system requirements for new product launches and process enhancements.
- Analyze existing applications to ensure optimal performance in data collection, storage, and retrieval, with efficient use of system resources.
- Design, develop, and implement programs using approved programming languages (e.g., VB.Net, C#, .NET), ensuring projects meet deadlines and comply with internal standards.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation in alignment with corporate and division policies.
- Train end-users on system capabilities, promoting effective utilization and understanding of available data tools.
- Provide ongoing technical support to users, management, and operations for assigned applications, including off-hours support when necessary.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in collaboration with IT teams and system stakeholders.
Scope:
This role primarily supports Manufacturing, Engineering, Facilities, Technical Services, and IT functions at the Clearwater manufacturing site. The position is fully on-site.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of IT experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in:
- VB.Net, C#, .NET Framework
- SQL Server (Transact-SQL)
- Oracle Database (PL/SQL)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts in business terms
- Experience with formal software development methodologies
- Familiarity with client-server architectures, relational databases, and network technologies
Preferred/Specialized Training:
- Regulatory compliance training for medical device or pharmaceutical industries
- Training in systems analysis and design methodologies
Ongoing technical training in emerging IT tools and technologies relevant to business operations
