OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE OF JOB
Setup, maintain and operate production line equipment to produce intraocular lenses according to production specifications and standards.
KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Setup and maintain lathing and milling equipment associated with IOL production. This includes daily checks/calibrations, lot setup and verification and tooling changes.
- Perform inspections to verify accuracy of machining against specifications to maintain quality and performance standards using set up equipment.
- Conduct initial troubleshooting for defect causes and machine problems. Make minor mechanical repairs as required to maintain production specifications and standards.
- Perform manufacturing operations as necessary to maintain production throughput.
- Assume leadership role for equipment you are responsible for
- Report unusual conditions and problems to supervisor and practice good housekeeping. Support, encourage and participate in team related activities, report ideas or suggestions to supervisor.
- In addition to the listed duties, the associate is normally expected to perform other similar related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Proficient in math and reading.
Desired Experience:
- Effective communication skills needed to provide clear and concise communication.
- GMP and ISO training.
- A minimum of 1 or more years' experience with lathes/milling machines
- Lathing experience including setup and tool changes preferred, good organizational skills a must.
