OBJECTIVES / PURPOSE OF JOB

This skill set position involves managing complex maintenance operations, overseeing team performance, and ensuring the seamless operation of all equipment, systems, and facilities.

This senior-level position involves advanced troubleshooting, managing large-scale repairs, and mentoring junior technicians.

Requires in-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulics as well as expertise in preventative maintenance and safety compliance.

KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

Design and fabricate specialized tools, components, dies, jigs, fixtures for production purposes.

Operate a variety of manual and CNC machines, including mills and lathes.

Perform precision measurements and inspections using tools like gauges, scopes and vision systems.

 Collaborate with engineers and production teams to ensure equipment output meets production requirements.

Troubleshoot and repair damaged tools or equipment along with performing level 4 PM’s or rebuilds.

Conduct high level PMs which entails takedown equipment, checking for ware, fabricating or repair components, reassembly and restore equipment back to manufacturing status.

 Maintain inventory on critical spares and order necessary materials.

Document design changes, repairs and adjustments to equipment as required in BM RAM.

Ensure equipment is properly maintained and function efficiently to minimize downtime in production.

Adhere to safety and GMP protocols and work in compliance.

Assist the engineering department.

 

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING


High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree, technical certification, or journeyman license in a related field is strongly preferred.

10+ years of experience in industrial maintenance working with Mills and Lathes, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.

Advanced expertise in mechanical, electrical and hydraulics.

Proficiency with PLC programming, and other advanced control systems.

Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

Exceptional ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Proficiency with CMMS or other maintenance management systems.

Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks in confined spaces.

Regulatory Compliance: Deep understanding of federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.

Emergency Response: Experience developing and executing emergency maintenance procedures.

Continuous Improvement: Strong background in Lean Maintenance and Six Sigma principles.
