Objectives:

The Engineering Technician V works with autonomy to achieve desired deliverables while interfacing with other internal or external teams. The Engineering Technician V is responsible for providing engineering support to sustain and improve existing manufacturing processes as well transferring and validating new products and processes into manufacturing operations.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical support to manufacturing operations by investigating and troubleshooting manufacturing issues as necessary.
  • Support the transfer and validation of new products, technology, equipment and process improvements to manufacturing.
  • Qualify equipment, develop engineering studies, generate technical reports and other documentation as needed.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to Increase product quality and reduce manufacturing costs including coordinating the design, prototyping and testing of new ideas.
  • Engages other teams to obtain the necessary Input to meet with established deliverables.
  • Participate in project update/review meetings.

 

Requirements: 

  • Associate degree or the equivalent through specialized training (relevant on the job or certificate).
  • Experience with problem identification and resolution in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical writing for SOPs, protocols, reports and analyzing data.
  • Experience executing validation studies (process, equipment, gage R&R) and DOE studies.

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 10 years hands on technical/manufacturing (cGMP & medical device manufacturing experience).
  • Machining and/or CAD experience.
