The Residency Program Specialist, Retina (RPS-R) is a position whose primary objective is to grow Bausch + Lomb surgical revenue and influence in Teaching Facilities, Residency and Fellowship Programs, associated surgical facilities and Veteran Affairs Hospitals. The Residency Program Specialist, Retina Account reports to the responsible Regional Business Director (RBD) and supports the Surgical Device Manager Retina (SDM-R).

The focus of the RPS-R is the development of relationships to effectively present, promote, and sell the Bausch + Lomb retina portfolio of capital equipment and surgical device products such as Stellaris Elite, Posterior Disposables, Instrumentation, and Retina ancillary products.

 

Responsibilities
•    Successfully complete a formal training and certification program for all responsible products in the areas of product knowledge & selling skills.
•    Generate leads in targeted Major Institutions, Teaching Hospitals, Fellowship Programs, and Influential Practices.
•    Work in collaboration with the Surgical Device Manager, Ophthalmic Surgical Consultant, and the Regional Business Director to grow Bausch + Lomb surgical product influence and collectively meet or exceed sales objectives in these accounts.
•    Build and sustain advocates of B+L Surgical technologies with faculty, staff, residents and fellows.
•    Coordinate the resources needed to effectively evaluate Bausch & Lomb surgical products in these accounts (SDM-R, OSC, RPS).
•    Successfully support the implementation of our product adoption and usage after conversion.
•    Assist in the planning and implementation of Fellowship focused activities, including but not limited to wet labs, journal clubs, and product education.
•    Develop an effective teamwork relationship with other B+L representatives.
•    Support the company’s mission of “Providing the World’s Most Valuable Ophthalmic Experience” to customers by providing customers with excellent service.
•    Effectively utilize and manage expenses, sample accounts, and consignments in a responsible manner according to company policies.
•    Perform other related administrative tasks associated with your position according to company policies.
•    Maintain and update territory records of all customers.
•    Increase knowledge base through successful completion of advanced and continuing training programs.

 

Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s Degree in science, business, or a related field.
•    3+ years of ophthalmology clinical/OR experience required.
•    Excellent organizational skills.
•    Ability to establish priorities to meet goals.
•    Highly motivated and results driven.
•    Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs.
•    Capable of travel and overnight stays.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting pay for this role is between $100,000 and  $125,000.  The estimated salary range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual base salary offered may depend on a variety of factors.

 

U.S. based employees may be eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives.
