OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF JOB
The incumbent is responsible for brand growth by driving new product launches and pushing growth on pillar products through implementing promotional and advertising excellence.
KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to manage the full spectrum of marketing.
• Responsible for developing marketing plans, including trade and executing projects and initiatives that support the broader short and long-term marketing strategy.
• Execute the local adaptation of advertising creative material.
• Analyze market and consumer data and make recommendations to management.
• Manage the A&P budget for the product(s) and ensure the sales forecast is accurate.
• Planning, implementing and monitoring all brand marketing activities.
• Work closely with appointed agencies and suppliers in all consumer marketing initiatives to ensure deadlines are met and achieve the best cost and ROI optimization.
• Work closely with the sales team to ensure sound planning and implementation of consumer marketing programs and key promotional activities in the stores.
• Competitive & Sales Analysis - Update brand and franchise performance reports; maintain Competitors' binder with all press campaigns, in-store catalogues, and flyers. Tracking launches, campaigns, promotions, and price changes. Prepare monthly market overview and share it with the team.
• Ensure prudent utilization of marketing funds for optimal results.
• Sales forecasting and inventory management.
• Ensure all advertisements, promotional materials, and/ or activities are reviewed and approved following Site SOPs.
• Other ad-hoc arrangements as and when required.
QUALIFICATIONS/ TRAINING
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Fluent in spoken and written English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Chinese.
EXPERIENCE
• Minimum 6 years of experience in brand or marketing roles.
• Proven brand management experience with a track record of developing and executing marketing campaigns and product launches.
• Experience in FMCG, consumer marketing, or the retail industry is highly preferred.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets and evaluating campaign performance.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Sales, Supply Chain, Finance and external agencies.
• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
