This position is based in Waterford on a 4 cycle shift pattern.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Shift based engineering support for high volume, automated, contact lens manufacturing equipment.
- Support operations through diagnosis and correction of line detractors.
- Liaise with Operations team to coordinate resources in alignment with shift priorities.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to identify and eliminate yield, cycle time and uptime detractors.
- Implement improvements under change control.
- Role model good safety and quality behaviours.
- Support on shift NC/CAPA and quality investigations.
- Develop relevant engineering documentation including work instructions, SOPs, validations & engineering studies.
Requirements
- Level 8 degree in automation engineering, computer science, electronic engineering or equivalent.
- A working knowledge of electrics, electronics, pneumatics, PLCs and vision systems.
- Experience with high-volume automation in a GMP environment is an advantage.
