Project Engineer I

  • Support projects across B&L divisions and geographical locations as required
  • Provide technical support to manufacturing/ operational staff in area of expertise
  • Provide technical input into projects and support the project team as required
  • Implement small projects initially under supervision and direction from a senior team member
  • Deliver project requirements to agreed cost, schedule and quality requirements
  • Specify equipment and actively involved in the design process, writing URS and other technical documents.
  • Ensure equipment is properly tested to meet all B&L requirements at FAT and SAT
  • Commission and validate equipment to ensure it meets the design intent.
  • Learn the B&L process and have a good understanding of the entire process and develop greater knowledge of 1 or 2 specific areas.
  • Continue to develop expertise in own engineering discipline
  • Analyse data and use it to propose solutions
  • Understand B&L metrics and business model. Clearly understands and aligns all activities to the Enterprise Excellence model
  • At all times act in accordance with cGMP and B&L quality procedures and ensure projects are delivered to these requirements.
  • Perform all tasks in accordance with B&L safety requirements and ensure all projects are designed in a safe manner.
  • Good communication with other team members and stakeholders including ability to present data and issues in an understandable manner
  • Ability to work as part of a team

Person Specification

  • Engineering or science degree
  •  0 – 5 years experience
  • Some experience in Medical device or pharmaceutical industry is desirable
  • Six-Sigma related qualification or experience desirable
  • Good initiative
  • Team Player
  • Excellent organisation and has an abilty to prioitise 
  • Problem Solving Skills
