Please note this position is based in Waterford on site - 5 days a week.

HR Business Partner has responsibility for managing operational HR activities with operations management and support functions, and work with HR team on HR issues, change programmes and implementation of policies and procedures across the Waterford Site.

 

Duties:

  • Act as a strategic HR Business Partner to designated Business Units and contribute to local Business Unit plans and strategic execution of Business Unit strategies
  • Develop a trusted business partner relationship with senior leaders and managers across the business.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and HR practices are compliant with legislation and support a progressive HR environment.
  • Provide expertise, guidance and direction on Employee Relations issues. Management of local works councils and unions.
  • Preparation for and participation in third party hearings.
  • Lead and embed people driven strategic initiatives which support the delivery of the overall goals of the organisation
  • Execute on workforce planning and talent strategies by using data driven insights
  • Facilitate managers' understanding of the performance management process.
  • Support succession planning process and internal promotions for designated client groups.
  • Participate in recruitment activity across different level roles.
  • Support change management initiatives in a complex organization.
  • Help to build change capability throughout the organization, providing tools and guidance to managers as needed.

  • Absence Management
  • Attrition Rates
  • Monitor and track disciplinary/grievance issues
  • Workforce planning and headcount management 

Talent Management

  • Advise Line Managers and employees on the talent management process.
  • Work closely with BU HR team to facilitate training/coaching for employees on all aspects of talent management.
  • Manage the succession planning process and internal promotions for designated client groups

Reward  and Recognition

  • Salary planning process and annual review cycle Salary review process.
  • Preparation for annual BU Operating Plan, HR Budget and Headcount Plans.
  • Provide input regarding the Merit Increase budget.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Degree qualified in Human Resources, Business or equivalent
  • 8 + years of human resource experience is desired 
  • Having worked in a fast paced unionised manufacturing environment is preferable
  • Experience in IR & ER
  • Strong communication skills & the ability to influence stakeholders
