Bausch + Lomb Waterford are excited to announce there is an opening for a Graduate to join the Operational Excellence function on our two-year graduate programme. Applicants should possess a real passion for, and understand the principles of continuous improvement. This is a programme that focuses on building leadership skills, you will be involved in an internal secondment as well as an international assignment.

 

Programme Overview

During your two years on the Programme, you will have real responsibility and will play a key role in strategic projects and initiatives.  You will work with and learn from great people and develop your expertise in automation and continuous improvement. You will be provided with a dedicated mentor throughout the programme and will be given the opportunity to network with other graduates in Bausch + Lomb and the South East Region.

 

Responsibilities

Work with Op Ex and business unit teams to identify and scope opportunities for further improvement in relevant process and equipment KPIs.
Enable and engage continuous improvement efforts throughout the site to meet service, quality, lead time and cost objectives.
Engineering support for Cost Improvement projects involving facilities, automation, equipment optimisation and sustainability.
Support and engage with project teams to ensure timely, successful project delivery.

The ideal candidate will have

Minimum 2.1, Level 8 Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical Automation) Computer Science or equivalent.
Good problem solving skills
Knowledge of structured problem solving tools an advantage
Excellent interpersonal & communications skills
Excellent planning and organisational skills
Ability to work well within a team and on own initiatives
