Reporting to the Senior Manager Operational Excellence:-

• Responsible for the delivery of the annual site cost improvement plan and management of the site Cost Improvement Project (CIP) system to best in class industry standards building a pipeline of  CIP and Cost of Quality opportunities.
• Subject matter expert on operational excellence systems and their application in driving results.
• Identify and champion inititaives that promote employee engagement and continuous improvement efforts at all levels throughout the site.
• Champion the use of best practice lean/CI tools to drive technical improvement projects focused on quality, customer service and operational cost metrics.
• Manage structured monthly reviews of project performance to ensure delivery of CIP goals, with a forward view of activity.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships across the business to  develop enterprise alignment and influence real change.
• Own, Develop and Manage the Site Strategic Space planning process with a 3 year forward view, to ensure that space requirements align to site strategies  together with current and future customer demands. For both manufacturing and support functions.
• Benchmark industry best practice and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

• Third level qualification in science or engineering.
• Experience with execution of LEAN and/or Six Sigma process improvements and application of Lean principles and tools in a live environment
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Project Management experience at a senior level.
• Knowledge of advanced statistical tools and experience in analyzing process performance based on data.
• Experience in managing/developing people and influencing different levels of management
• Experience in a regulated environment
• A real engaging passion for Business excellence
• A proven track record of progressively responsible experience in a fast paced, high tech and high volume environment
• Proven communication, leadership, influencing, technical and problem solving skills.
• Self-directed and highly motivated with the ability to prioritize and make decisions.
• Successful experience in program management and ability to manage network and matrix relations
• Strong personal accountability for project throughout its lifecycle.
