Bausch + Lomb have been operating for over 40 years in Waterford, Ireland.

Support supply chain function for raw material requirements. Support indirect procurement activities as required. This position is based in Waterford.

Duties

  • Update the monthly production volumes in MRP
  • Maintain the production volume forecast in VMI
  • Raw Material New Product Set-up / Master Data Changes
  • Procurement of Capital and Indirect materials
  • Issuing RFQ’s, negotiating pricing and contracts
  • Process purchase requisitions

 

Planning:

  • Schedule both finished lenses and mould inventory as required.
  • Liaise with Customer services and DC’s regarding customer queries & expected ship dates.
  • Monitor inventory levels in the various DC.s.
  • Prioritise product as required based on information received from Customers.
  • Manage QCR process for any new product set-ups for Finished Goods
  • Support product Life Cycle management programs to include new product launches, product rationalisation plans and fit set build programs
  • Attend Product Group meetings and liaise with Manufacturing Operations staff as required.
  • Liaise with Operations on backorder and low limit skus
  • Maintain and update processes and procedures for planning activities.
  • Responsible for planning packaging materials, monomers, chemicals, resins and plastics.
  • MRP and VMI updates for full Lens finished goods portfolio
  • Raw material new product set-up and master data changes for full Lens finished goods portfolio
  • Procurement of Indirect services.

 

Desired Requirements

  • Educated to Degree level – Business  / Procurement - or equivalent combination of Education / Experience
  • IIPMM / AIPICs qualified
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to use Excel at an advanced level and understanding of ERP LX / JDA or similar ERP systems
  • Focused on Customer Service and delivering Key Operational Measurements
  • Ability to act as a Team player, or independently, and with multiple activities
  • Attention to detail
  • The capacity to work on own initiative. Results focused and demonstrates financial and analytical acumen.
  • Proficient in problem solving and resolution
