The AI Solution Manager partners directly with senior leadership and business function leads to translate strategic AI objectives into tangible, measurable outcomes - acting as the nexus between IT, the CIO agenda, and the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
AI Program Delivery
- Own end-to-end delivery of AI initiatives across the IT organization, operating within the AI Core, AI Delivery, and AI Function towers under CIO sponsorship.

- Manage the portfolio of active AI applications and agentic workflows across multiple platforms, maintaining operational integrity and performance standards.
- Define and track key delivery milestones, risks, and dependencies, providing clear reporting to the Infrastructure Director and senior leadership.
AI Solution Design & Implementation
- Design and implement AI-powered solutions including custom tools, agentic workflows, internal portals, and intelligent automation spanning Microsoft Copilot, Azure AI, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini platforms.
- Evaluate and recommend emerging AI technologies and platforms that align with the organization's architecture, governance, and strategic direction.
- Oversee the development and deployment of solutions built on Power Platform and other approved tooling, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Maintain a hands-on working knowledge of the AI toolchain to provide technical direction and quality assurance across all delivery workstreams.
Executive & Senior Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as the primary IT AI interface for senior executives and business function leads across the organization, translating business needs into executable AI strategies.
- Lead AI engagement workshops, discovery sessions, and solution reviews with C-suite and Director-level stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across all business functions, ensuring AI delivery is aligned to commercial, operational, and strategic priorities.
- Present program updates, business cases, and delivery outcomes to leadership with clarity and confidence.
AI Adoption & Organizational Enablement
- Own the AI adoption strategy across the organization's full AI tooling portfolio, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and any additional platforms deployed under the AI program.
- Drive adoption momentum across all AI tools by working closely with business function leads, HR, and Communications to embed AI capabilities meaningfully into day-to-day workflows.
- Establish and maintain adoption frameworks, usage guidelines, and best practice resources that empower staff to get value from AI tooling without reliance on dedicated training delivery.
- Monitor adoption metrics, utilisation trends, and user feedback across all platforms, identifying blockers and driving targeted interventions to maximize return on AI investment.
- Act as the internal authority on the AI tooling landscape, advising business leads on the most appropriate platform or solution for their specific use case.
AI Governance, Review & Compliance
- Serve as an active and standing participant in the AI Function governance framework, contributing IT's delivery perspective to organizational AI policy, standards, and oversight decisions.
- Review and assess AI initiatives proposed or in-flight across all areas of the business, including non-IT functions, evaluating alignment with the organization's AI strategy, architectural standards, risk appetite, and compliance obligations.
- Act as a key review authority for new AI engagements across the wider business, providing structured recommendations on platform suitability, data handling, security posture, and ethical AI considerations before initiatives proceed.
- Maintain and evolve documentation, policies, and guardrails governing AI application usage across the enterprise, ensuring standards remain current as the tooling landscape develops.
- Represent IT within cross-functional AI governance forums, working alongside Legal, Risk, Compliance, and business leads to ensure a joined-up approach to responsible AI deployment.
