For our French subsidiary, we are recruiting Director Medical Affairs, Core Markets and France

 

 

Position Summary

 

The Director Medical Affairs, Core Markets and France is reporting to the VP Global Medical and Scientific Affairs and he or she is leading Core Markets and France medical strategy related to approved products and future launches. The Core Markets and France Medical  Affairs Director and his or her medical team will work in close relationship with the Regional & Local Commercial, Regulatory & Pharmacovigilance teams as well with US Medical & Clinical Affairs teams.

 

The Core Markets and France Medical Affairs Director with his or her team will be responsible for the development and the execution of Medical plans in alignment with the Corporate priorities. He or she is responsible to develop and maintain strong collaboration with Core Markets and France scientific experts in the different therapeutic areas (Pharma, OTC & Consumer, Vision Care & Surgical). Also, the person will be in charge to supervise the execution of company post-marketing sponsored studies & Investigators Initiated Trials (IITs) in alignment with local & Global medical plans. He/she will supervise medical pre-launch and post-launch activities in collaboration with Commercial team.

 

Major Areas of Responsibility

 

    •  Initiate, supervise the performance and progress of medical activities, including clinical research (post-marketing studies and Investigators’ Initiated Trials)
    • Development and implementation of strategic direction for new products
    • Development and implementation of Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) partnership & added value medical programs
    • Represent the company via presentations to groups of experts, societies, regulatory/reimbursement bodies at regional/international meetings.
    • Attend relevant conferences and scientific meetings to maintain and develop a network of contacts with specialists and customers within the company’s therapeutic areas and within the industry
    • Ensure alignment between the Core Markets and France medical strategic plans and Global medical strategy in respect of internal SOP & Policies and Country Regulations
    • Support  Global Medical Communication and Information team
    • Manage the budget of the Core Markets and France  medical division
    • Manage and develop talents
    • Create an environment conducive to medical and scientific excellence through employees’ motivation, empowerment and accountability
    • Play a key and pro-active role within the cross-functional teams
    • Maintain a culture of compliance

Education/Competency requirements

  • Education: MD, PhD, PharmD
  • Experience: Minimum 5-8 years in Medical Affairs & talents’ management
  • Language: Proficiency in English required                                                                                         
  • Competencies:  
  • Ophthalmology and eye care experience is preferred
  •  Strong strategic thinking and networking skills
  • Analytical expertise in understanding complex issues and the consequences
  • Recognize potential obstacles and work to resolve them within set timelines
