Goal and Purpose of Function

This role is an essential part of Product/Clinical support to our HCP, hands on from start to finish, and as such you will be our Product Champion in the face of our customers and will provide true guidance through approved Training/Certification programs on the use of the products specific to each category of Glaucoma.

Manage the Glaucoma surgical business unit to meet or exceed sales forecasts. Be the expert terms of market development, competitive landscape, regulation and reimbursement knowledge.

 

Tasks:

 Financial Objectives

  • Attain or exceed market share and growth targets 
  • Attain or exceed quarterly and profit objectives

 Promotion, Market Access & Execution 

  • Develops a thorough deep expertise of local regulations and processes around reference pricing and reimbursement; discuss, enhance and develop innovative/competitive market access strategies
  • Hands-On support role to HCP
  • Maintaining high level relationships, negotiating and closing deals with Hospital/Private practices
  • Effective selling skills, account management and territory planning
  • Efficiently use the company reporting tolls: Sales Force (CRM)
  • Review forecasts on regular basis
  • Represent B&L Glaucoma Surgical  Products at Local/National Trade Shows and Exhibitions 
  • At times may be called to support sales/product activities in different Geographies: B&L Direct countries and B&L Distributor network

 KOL Identification, Mapping and Development

  • Identification and mapping of key national and future Glaucoma KOLs amongst Glaucoma community 

 Country alignment

  • With Head of S&M Surgical Glaucoma
  • With Country Business Unit Director/Manager & Surgical Marketing
  •  Interact with B&L Core Sales Teams/Management

 Regulatory/Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with all local regulations, Bausch SOP’s and Code of Conduct
  • To be engaged with “HSG” Working closely to enhance knowledge for regulatory departments to speed up products availability and launch in country markets

 

Qualifications:

  • Commercial or opthamalogical master degree preferred
  • Visible appearance requiring +60% in-field activity
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward internal and external customers at all times demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills with high level of adaptability
  • Able to communicate in an effective manner with clarity and timeliness in maintaining a high level of transparency
  • Excellent organisational skills and self-disciplined
  • Demonstrates solution oriented mindset and takes initiatives (be autonomous not independent)
  • Takes initiative and responsibility
  • Collaborative and proactive working / team spirit for providing feed back to the international teams and internal partners
