JOB TITLE: Professional Relationship Manager - Canada

BUSINESS UNIT / FUNCTION: Vision Care

REPORTS TO: Business Unit Director, Vision Care

LOCATION: Hybrid Role based in the GTA

 

OBJECTIVES/ PURPOSE OF JOB
• To contribute to the sales objectives of the Canadian Vision Care Business.
• Be an ambassador for the Vision Care Business through creating and delivering professional content for healthcare practitioners and the Canadian commercial organization

 

KEY ACTIVITIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES

Educational Content Development
• Regularly update and customize annual training decks for ECPs in line with Canadian strategy for the focus brands and ensure alignment to the annual marketing plan and brand messaging.
• Build agendas and content for educational events across Canada
• Create and deliver new educational ideas and initiatives designed to deliver against the business objectives.

 

Customer Activation and Delivery
• Present educational and business content at local customer meeting in line with Territory Managers’ business plans.
• Work closely with the sales team to input into customer meeting agendas and contribute to activation plans.
• Develop network of KOLs across the Canada and organize round table meetings as appropriate and aligned to the EUCAN strategy

 

Market Insight and B+L Representation
• Be the Vision Care ambassador at local and national congresses, be present at all key events as the main contact and interface for customers and Industry Partners. (Universities included)
• Regularly gather insights on the Industry through own network and desk research methods and feed into the sales and marketing team.
• Develop own network of ECP contacts within the industry to help build a strong footprint for Bausch + Lomb.

 

Sales Training and Support
• Deliver training for new hires and keep up to date for ongoing development of the team
• Deliver training and role play assessments aligned to the brand strategies and sales process.
• Coach Canadian sales team on product knowledge and customer interactions in conjunction with the marketing and sales management teams.
• Develop innovative training modules.

 

Brand and Marketing Support
• Work in conjunction with Canadian marketing to develop content and copy for Canadian marketing and educational materials aligned with the brand strategy and messaging.

 

Competitor Intelligence and Reporting
• Regularly monitor competitor activity and input and report monthly to the Head of Professional Affairs Europe + Canadian marketing team
• Update and evolve objection handling documents based on new competitor challenges and regularly update with competitor information

 

Internal Relationships and Team Management
• Build and retain strong relationships with EUCAN Professional Services and marketing ensuring objectives are aligned to EUCAN business goals.

 

SCOPE OF POSITION:
• The Bausch + Lomb Vision Care business has experienced double digit year-over-year growth for the past few years as we rebuild this iconic brand and rejuvenate the portfolio with new lens technologies and innovative commercial programs.
• The Vision Care team consists of 25 employees, including sales, marketing, and key accounts. This team is supported by an extensive cross-functional team consisting of Sales Operations, Finance, Regulatory, Supply Chain, etc.
• The successful candidate will collaborate with the sales team on a variety of projects across Canada


EXPERIENCE
- Strong understanding and experience of working in the Contact Lens and/or optical Industry
- Experience of working in a national/regional multiple and Independent practice with a keen established interest in developing business growth
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong negotiation skills


COMPETENCIES
- Able to travel within Canada as required (Approximately 25%-33%)
- Excellent writing & communication skills and strong competency in English and French (verbal & written)
- Ability to communicate effectively to both technical and commercial people at all levels, including major customers
- Ability to prioritize work and manage own workload and others
- Ability to deliver to tight deadlines in a results orientated organisation
- Able to quickly establish credibility amongst peers and develop networks
- Ability to balance technical details with commercial realities
- Ability to persuade and influence people
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
